The total weight of your watch/clock is not the precious metal weight!

There are misunderstandings when it comes to determining the weight of watches/clocks time and again. If you determine the total weight of your pocket watch or watch with digital kitchen scales or letter scales, then you will have to deduct the weight of the parts that are not made from precious metals. If you want to work out the exact weight, you will have to disassemble it. Parts such as the clockwork, the glass, the batteries are not made from gold or silver and can thus no be bought at the price per gram.

Of course, our analysis department will take care of the "disassembly" of your watch for you. If you want us to, we will send back the removed parts as a memory and as confirmation for you. However, you can also send us the watches/clocks with the parts already having been disassembled.

The value of an 18 ct gold watch is as follows:
