Items with hallmarks

Most items containing precious metals have a so-called hallmark. The hallmark tells you what percentage of precious metal is contained. The higher the number stamped or engraved, the more the jewellery is worth. Our analysis is based on this hallmark. In some very rare cases, it is possible that the precious metal content determined does not match the hallmark.

Items without hallmarks

There are a large number of items made from high quality gold or silver that don't have a hallmark. We keep on hearing about this type of item being taken little notice of. Please don't throw these items away! Just send all of your presumed gold and silver valuables to us to analyse for free.
